Provincial governments do not need to obtain a NOC from the federalgovernment before procuring any of the registered Coronavirus vaccines.
According to the Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health, Dr.Faisal Sultan, the federal government will extend maximum support toprovincial governments in procuring COVID-19 vaccines.——————————

Dr. Faisal added that the federal government has acquired a significantamount of COVID-19 vaccine doses and will continue to procure Coronavirusvaccines for all Pakistani citizens.
He confirmed that another batch of Coronavirus vaccine consisting of 1million doses from China will reach Pakistan next week.——————————

The SAPM noted that healthcare workers and senior citizens are currentlybeing immunized under the mass vaccination campaign that was started lastmonth after receiving 0.5 million doses of Sinopharm’s Coronavirus vaccinefrom China.
Dr. Faisal also warned that the ongoing third wave of Coronavirus has thepotential to be worse than the first wave in summer last year. He requestedthe public to adhere to the COVID-19 SOPs issued by the government andensure the wearing of facemasks in crowded spaces.
