Pakistan and UAE take important decisions on bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and United Arab Emirates have agreed to strengthencooperation in diverse fields, further facilitate the ease of travelbetween the two countries and reinforce mutual support in multilateralorganizations.

The understanding reached during a telephonic conversation between ForeignMinister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his UAE’s counterpart Sheikh Abdullah binZayed Al-Nahyan.

During the conversation, the two Foreign Ministers expressed satisfactionon the progress in bilateral relations.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi conveyed his heartfelt condolences from the governmentand people of Pakistan on the sad demise of Deputy Ruler of Dubai andFinance Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.

Offering prayers for the departed soul, the Foreign Minister paid richtribute to the life and services of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, rememberinghim as a good friend of Pakistan.
