Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawazhas clarified that even if an offer is made to send the government ofPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) home, she will not go abroad.
Speaking to media at Jati Umrah, she said lashed out at NationalAccountability Bureau (NAB) for moving Lahore High Court (LHC) to seekcancellation of her bail in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
“NAB has become an institution of political victimization. This governmentis also using the judiciary against its opponents,” she said.
Maryam further said that whenever the anti-corruption watchdog will summonher she will appear before NAB to expose it.
“If you think you can intimidate me by threatening me of getting my bailrevoked and sending me in jail, it won’t work. I am not afraid ofdetentions and threats.”
She further stated that ‘fake’ leaders are in panic condition due to thepopularity of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
“They resort to arrests and threats whenever opposition talks about therallies or long march,” she added.
Referring to the controversial statement of PML-N leader Javed Latif,Maryam said that his statement was distorted.
“I have no doubt about Javed Latif’s patriotism. Long live Pakistan and itwill remain so,” she said.
Javed Latif had said that if anything happens to Maryam Nawaz, then the”PML-N will not say Pakistan Khappay”, unlike Zardari, who had used thosewords after former premier Benazir Bhutto was assassinated.
