Former Pakistani cricket star rushed to hospital in critical emergency

Lahore: Former Pakistani test cricketer Tauseef Ahmed underwent anangiography on Monday after suffering from a cardiac arrest, a privatehospital in Lahore confirmed.

Many former cricketers including Ramiz Raja and Sikandar Bakht also prayedfor Ahmed’s quick recovery.

The cricketer was attending a wedding ceremony, for which he had travelledfrom Karachi to Lahore a few days back, when he had a heart attack and wasrushed to a hospital.

Ahmed is an asthma patient and was given a stent three years ago. Thedoctor stated that Ahmed does not need to undergo angioplasty or a bypassoperation.

“The next 48 hours are, however, critical,” added doctor.
