Shoaib was talking to Dr. Nauman Niaz on the popular TV show ‘Game on Hai,’where they discussed the reasons that led to the postponement of theleague. Dr. Nauman Niaz blamed the PCB’s medical panel and called theirmedical practices obsolete in the modern scientific world. He said that thechief of medical staff is not a specialist in viral diseases and does nothave the required information and experience to handle the bio-securebubble.
Dr. Niaz added that COVID-19 is a notifiable disease. Therefore, the PCBshould have released the name of the individuals that tested positive, soeveryone can be notified to not come in contact with them. Dr. Niazrevealed that a total of nine individuals tested positive, but he couldonly manage to get the names of eight individuals.

Dr. Niaz revealed that Haris Rauf’s case was of a re-infection, but thePCB’s medical staff deemed it a historical case, and he was allowed to takepart despite suffering from COVID-19. He said that the whole saga is asheer failure of the PCB’s medical team.
Akhtar revealed that no individual was following the SOPs, and thebio-secure bubble was non-existent. He asked the PCB to sack the entiremedical panel and bring in a new team that is competent enough tounderstand the complications of the pandemic.
