Federal Minister for Education makes important statement over schools closure

All private and public schools in seven cities of Punjab will be closedfrom Monday (March 15).

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood addressed a press conferenceafter a meeting of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

He announced, “Schools in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Multan, Faisalabad,Gujranwala and Gujrat will remain close until March 28,”

According to details, schools in the cities mentioned above will remainclosed from March 15 to March 28.

The academic year in Punjab will begin from August 1, 2021, to March 31,2022, Punjab’s Education Minister Murad Raaslinkannounced.

As per the official notification, a meeting was held on February 26February in pursuance of the decisions taken.

The official notification reads,

“In pursuance of the decisions taken in the meeting of Inter NovAdelEducation Ministers (IPEMC), Conference conveyed vide letter F. No. 1-1/2021-AS, dated 26. February 2021, the Academic Session for the year2021-2022 shall start from 1. August 2021 to 31″ March 2022 for allEducational Institutions in Punjab.”
