The US Department of State has announced that the visa applicants who hadbeen denied entry to the United States of America can now submit newapplications or seek new decisions after the new President, Joe Biden Jr.,lifted the travel ban on thirteen mostly Muslim-majority and Africancountries that had been enforced by his predecessor Donald Trump.——————————

According to the spokesperson for the State Department, Ned Price, theapplicants who had been denied visas prior to 20 January 2020 need tosubmit new applications and pay the application fee again, but theapplicants who had been refused visas on or after 20 January 2020 can seekreconsiderations without resubmitting their applications or payingadditional fees.

The applicants who had been selected via the diversity visa lottery beforethe current fiscal year have been banned by US law from being issued visasif they do not have them already.——————————
