Prime Minister Imran Khan lauds Chinese government and President Xi Jinpingfor successfully eradicating poverty from their country amidst the pandemiccrisis.
Taking to Twitter, the premier said that never in 35 years, around 750million people been taken out of extreme poverty.
“I want to congratulate President Xi Jinping & the Chinese government forthe momentous achievement of eradicating extreme poverty in their country.Never before in history have 750 million people been taken out of extremepoverty in a span of 35 years,” he wrote.
He said that for developing countries like Pakistan there are lessons to belearned. “With determination and commitment, we can do the same for ourpeople.”
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurated heritagetrail at Nandana Fort in district Jhelum.
He also inaugurated Tilla Jogian National Park and Salt Range NationalPark. These two new national parks are part of the six protected areas,which include Khairi Murat National Park, Chhanji National Park, NamalWetland and Chashma Wetland Nature Reserve.
The Prime Minister also planted an olive tree on the occasion. He was alsobriefed on the measures related to wildlife conservation and environmentalprotection in the Salt Range.
Imran Khan also interacted with the local people and listen to theirproblems.
