PTI top leadership reacts over the SC decision on presidential reference seeking open Senate ballot voting

The Top politicians of the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) hastermed the judgment of Supreme Court in presidential reference seeking openballot voting in the upcoming Senate Elections, ‘historic.’

Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz has said the Supreme Court’sjudgment in Presidential reference is historic under which the Senateelections will be held as per Article 226 of the constitution.

Talking to the media persons in Peshawar on Monday, he said the apex courthas directed the Election Commission of Pakistan to use the latesttechnology and take the necessary steps to ensure transparency in thepolls. He said the court has also ruled that secrecy of ballot is notpermanent.

The Information Minister asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to takerequisite steps for ensuring transparency in the Senate elections in thelight of the Supreme Court’s decision.

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed said that today’sdecision is a victory for Pakistan, it is a strong decision fortransparency, and the decision of the court is strong.

The PTI leader said that the esteemed court has given a brief opinion, adetailed decision will also come soon. Senator Faisal Javed has said thatbefore today there was not such a detailed discussion on the Senateelection. In the past, money was flowing in the Senate election.
