Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Wednesday that Pakistan hastransformed its geopolitical priorities into geo-economic priorities.
He said that Pakistan is standing side by side with Sri Lanka as a partnerfor the development of human resources, security cooperation, fightingterrorism, development, and prosperity.
The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister said on this occasion that PM Imran Khan’svisit will help in strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi later briefed the media about PM’s visit to Sri Lanka.He said that during the visit we exchanged views on the enhancement ofbilateral trade and investment with Sri Lanka.

He added that defense and security cooperation to end the menace ofterrorism are of equal importance to both Pakistan and Sri Lanka and wehave offered that country a credit line of fifteen million dollars in thisregard.
Apart from that, Qureshi said that they have decided to give one hundredscholarships to Sri Lankan students in the top medical institutes ofPakistan.
