ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi yesterday said thatPakistan aimed at multiplying cooperation with Russia.
In a meeting with Russian Presidential Envoy for Afghanistan AmbassadorZamir Kabulov here, Foreign Minister Qureshi welcomed Ambassador ZamirKabulov and conveyed best wishes for Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“The exchange of views covered recent developments especially with regardto the Afghan peace process,” said a foreign ministry statement.
The foreign minister noted that both Pakistan and Russia had convergence ofviews on matters of mutual interest including an inclusive politicalsettlement of the conflict in Afghanistan.

The foreign minister underlined that Pakistan had consistently supportedthe Afghan peace process.
