Richardshas been a mentor for the Quetta Gladiators camp since the inception of thetournament. The West Indian legend has been known in Quetta’s camp as themost energetic and influential person.

“Quetta Gladiators mentor, Sir Vivian Richards, will not be part of theGladiators squad in this PSL after he decided to stay home given theserious COVID situation all around the world,” the statement said.
Quetta’s players have praised the impact of Sir Vivian Richards on the teamover the years and said that he played a crucial role in Quetta’s successsince the inaugural edition of the tournament.
Richards opted out of the tournament due to the prevalent COVID-19 pandemicand deemed traveling to another country unsafe in these dire times.——————————
Quetta’s owner, Nadeem Omar, expressed his sadness about Richards not beinga part of their camp in PSL 6. “He was always an important person in ourcamp. We all will miss him, and without him, our dugout will lookdeserted,” Omar said.
Omar is hopeful of having Richards back in the camp once the COVID-19situation improves. Omar said that they would try to arrange virtualsessions for players with Richards so he can motivate them to perform attheir best.
