Skipper Babar Azam breaks silence over performance of Mohammad Rizwan

Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, has showered praises on the wicket-keeperbatsman, Mohammad Rizwan, for his excellent display with the bat and behindthe stumps in the series against South Africa. Rizwan was named as man ofthe series in both the Test and the T20I series.

Babar took to Twitter to congratulate the team on the historic seriesvictory, and he called Rizwan a true warrior.——————————

Mohammad Rizwan scored 197 runs in the T20I series, the most by a Pakistanibatsman in a three-match T20I series. He scored his first century in thefirst T20I and followed it up with a half-century in the second T20I.Rizwan’s exceptional performances helped Pakistan to a 2-1 series win overSouth Africa.——————————

Babar himself had a series to forget. He looked rusty after recovering froma thumb fracture. He only managed to score one half-century throughout theseries. He scored only 49 runs in the three-match T20I series.

Before the series against South Africa, Pakistan had a shambolic tour ofNew Zealand, losing the Test series 2-0 and the T20I series 2-1. The onlysaving grace from the tour was the exceptional work by Rizwan. He garneredpraise for his impressive wicket-keeping, and his gutsy knocks lower downthe order.
