Prime Minister Imran Khanlinkhasonce again thanked overseas Pakistanis.
Taking to Twitter, he announced that remittances from have increased by 24%compared to last year.
He said, “Remittances from overseas Pakistanis were $2.27 bn in Jan, up 19%over Jan 2020 – 8th consecutive month of remittances above $2b. To date, inthis fiscal year, they are up 24% compared to last year. This is a recordfor our country.”
In another tweet, the premier also mentioned good news regarding theindustrial sector. He wrote that scale manufacturing saw growth in December2020.
“Large scale manufacturing saw another double-digit growth month inDecember 2020 – 11.4% growth vs Dec 2019. Cumulative July to Dec growthabove 8% now.”
