Prominent international daily “the New York times” says the onslaught onfreedom of expression by Modi led BJP government in India has completelydestroyed democracy in that country.
In an article, the paper said Modi government has constantly opted forstifling dissent through arrests, killings and crack down on means ofinformation in response to its contentious policies like citizenship lawsthat disadvantaged Muslims, clampdown on the disputed region of Kashmir andnow the farmers’ protests.
The paper said Indian authorities have arrested hundreds of Kashmiris sinceAugust 5th, 2019 and have denied them bails drawing internationalcondemnation for assault on rule of law.
