Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday came down heavily on theopposition alliance pursuing the scandalous “Changa Manga” politics andsaid the coming days will prove to be defining moments in Pakistan’shistory.
“As I have invited people in Islamabad on March 27 [for a rally], thenation should come out to tell that they stand with the truth and not withthieves, dacoits, hypocrites and the slaves of America,” PM Imran saidwhile addressing a huge public gathering at the Grassy Ground in SaiduSharif in Swat.
The premier alleged that “bags of notes” were being used from Sindh Housein Islamabad for horse-trading and buying the conscience of the members ofparliament, like Nawaz Sharif [former prime minister] did in Changa Mangain the past.
“Does the constitution allow horse-trading? Does any democracy in the worldallow this? Is this practice allowed in the UK; the democracy which wefollow?” he remarked while posing a question to the Election Commission ofPakistan (ECP).
He regretted that the opposition parties have decided to abolish theNational Accountability Bureau (NAB) law and withdraw their cases if theysucceed [in removing him]. “They don’t even feel shamed”, he remarked.
PM Imran said the opposition parties were doing all this to protect theircorruption. “They know that if Imran Khan remains in power, all of themwould be in jails,” he remarked.
