Good news for Pakistani umrah and Hajj pilgrims from Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabian government will now allow childrenlink under the age of seven to enter theTwo Holy Mosques link so long asthey are vaccinated link againstCovid-19, the country’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced.

With children link under the age of sevenbeing allowed to enter the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosquein Madinah, the Ministry advised that anyone within Saudi Arabialink wishing to perform Umrah willneed to obtain a permit from the “Tawakkalna” or “Eatmarna” apps.

Their health status on the apps must show up as “immune,” and their datamust be updated through the “Absher” system.

The ministry stressed that permits for recurrent Umrah will be issued onceevery 10 days.

When asked whether this arrangement will continue during Ramadan, theministry clarified that any updates will be announced in due course.

The decision comes as the Kingdom continues to vaccinate childrenlink the ages of five and 11.
