Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governmenton the recognition of Peshawar BRT as a Gold Standard BRT service by theInternational Technical Standard Committee.
In a tweet today (Friday) , he said Peshawar BRT scored 97 out of onehundred which means it is consistent in almost all respects withinternational best practices.
He said Peshawar BRT has revolutionised public transport system in the cityand since the start of its operations in Aug 2020 more than 71 millionpeople have travelled in it.

The Prime Minister said over 250,000 commuter’s use BRT on daily basis outof which twenty percent are women and sixty percent are from low-incomegroups.
