Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas made a rare visit to Israel for talkson economic and security issues with Israel’s defence minister aimed toresolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In a statement, the Israeli Defence Ministry described itconfidence-building measures, saying talks will ease the entry of hundredsof Palestinian business men to Israel.
Meanwhile, in a statement, Palestinian official Hussein al-Sheikh said theleaders discussed the importance of creating a political horizon forresolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
