ISLAMABAD – The federal cabinet has approved to hold the local bodieselections in Islamabad.
According to sources, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will soontake steps with regard to the local bodies elections. The cabinet formed aninter-ministers committee over the electronic voting machine.
During the meeting, an investigation report was presented with regard tothe artificial shortage of petrol. The forum also discussed economic,political and law and order situation.
The meeting was also briefed about the steps taken to deal with theinflation. The participants discussed the leaked audio tape of former chiefjustice Saqib Nisar and affidavit presented by Gilgit Baltistan formerchief judge Rana Shamim.
