Pakistan strongly condemned the restrictions imposed by BJP government on offering friday prayers by Muslims

Pakistan has strongly condemned the restrictions imposed by BJP’s Haryanagovernment on offering Friday prayers by Muslims at several places in thestate.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Foreign Office Spokesperson AsimIftikhar said we are also deeply concerned over continued vandalization ofmosques and attacks against prayer places of Muslims by Sangh Parivarextremists with complicity of BJP ruled states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

In another abhorrent act of sacrilege of Muslim religious places, radicalHindu groups reportedly dumped cow dung at several places of Friday prayers.

The Spokesperson said the senseless attacks against Muslims and theirplaces of worship, houses and businesses are continuing in Tripura as welldespite international concern.

In the state of Maharashtra, violent attacks were unleashed againstMuslims’ shops, mosques and shrines by radical activists of BJP and itsaffiliated groups including Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad andMaharashtra Navnirman Sena.

The Spokesperson has called on the international community, particularlythe United Nations and relevant international human rights and humanitarianorganizations, to fulfill their responsibilities to stop the risingIslamophobia and violent attacks against minorities particularly Muslims inIndia and ensure their safety, security and well-being and the protectionof their places of worship.
