RAWALPINDI – Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwastressed the need for a joint national response to tackle national securitychallenges, the military media wing said Tuesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the top militarycommander made the statements while addressing the participants of the 23rdNational Security Workshop at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
“Pakistan has emerged stronger from the war against terrorism as aresilient nation, and now it is our collective responsibility to workwholeheartedly for the progress and prosperity of our nation,” COAS saidwhile emphasizing that Pakistan Army was focused on maintaining itsoperational preparedness and ensuring the security of the country againstall threats.
Furthermore, the workshop participants were given a comprehensive briefingon the overall security situation and challenges being faced by the SouthAsian country.

The official statement added that an interactive session was held withGeneral Bajwa later while representatives from all segments of society,including parliamentarians, attended the seminar.
