Japan has renewed its pledge to keep working for better relations betweenIslamabad and Tokyo.
The pledge made by Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Kuninori Matsuda whopaid a farewell call to Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwaat General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation invarious fields, overall regional situation and peace and stability in theAfghanistan were discussed.
The COAS thanked Ambassador for his services and appreciated hiscontributions for fostering strong ties between the two countries andsupport towards defence, security cooperation and stance on Afghansituation.
