Taliban have won support from 10 regional powers at talks in Moscow for theidea of a United Nations donor conference to help the country stave offeconomic collapse and a humanitarian catastrophe.
Russia, China, Pakistan, India, Iran and Central Asian states Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan joined the Taliban incalling for the UN to convene such a conference as soon as possible to helprebuild the country.
Taliban deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi, who led the delegation,said Isolating Afghanistan is in no one’s interests.
