Prime Minister Imran Khan says the construction of lift-cum-gravity projectof Chashma Right Bank Canal would be a real game changer for the socioeconomic uplift of a vast area in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He was chairing a meeting on integrated agriculture and development planfor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially Chashma Right Bank Canal, in Islamabadon Thursday.
The Prime Minister said once completed, the project would irrigate around300,000 acres of barren land in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said this would not only ensure food security in the region but wouldalso earn huge foreign exchange reserves for the country by exportingagricultural produce to the Middle East.
