In an act of terrorism, four coal miners killed in Balochistan

QUETTA – At least four coal miners were killed in the Marwar area ofBalochistan on Tuesday.

Reports in media quoting sources said four coal miners were shot dead afterunidentified assailants opened fire at them today.

Three of the deceased miners have been identified as Abdul Wakeel,Hidayatur Rehman, and Gul Hakeem. Two of the victims hailed from Shangla,while one was from the provincial capital Quetta. The fourth man has yet tobe identified.

The incident occurred near a coal range of the Marwar area, which islocated around 40 km away from the downtown city, while the bodies havebeen shifted to a nearby medical facility.

Manager of operations of the rescue department while speaking with aninternational publication told that the miners were missing at about 11:00pm Monday, while the bodies were found by Frontier Corps (FC) earlier today.

Meanwhile, the FC personnel have started a search operation in the area tofind the traces of the assailants. No terror group has claimed the heinousattack till the filing of this report.

Earlier, 10 Hazara community members were killed in a massacre in the Machharea back in January this year.
