Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zahid Hafeez ChaudhriMonday said that no visit of President of the Russian Federation VladimirPutin to Pakistan yet.
He was responding to media reports claiming the Russian President may visitPakistan in July.
“We have seen some media reports regarding Russian President VladimirPutin’s visit to Pakistan. Pakistan and Russia are close partners andfriends. The two sides are committed to building a strong multi-dimensionalrelationship that not only serves their respective national interests butalso contributes to regional as well as global peace and security. Exchangeof high level visits is an important part of the growing Pakistan-Russiarelations.”
He said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov paid a successful visit toIslamabad in April this year and last year Pakistan’s Foreign Minister andDefence Minister visited the Russian Federation.

He added that while invitations for visits at the summit level have beenextended by both sides, no such visit has been scheduled yet.
