Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Eidul Azha, which fallson the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, will likely to fall on July 21(Wednesday) this year.
Reports in local media quoting a statement issued by the MeteorologicalDepartment stated that the birth of the new moon of Dhu al-Hijjah 1442 AHwill take place at 6:18 pm on the 10th of this month. It further statedthat the last Islamic month will start on the 12th of this month.
Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on July 10 for themoon sighting. PMD further added that weather is expected to be clear orpartly cloudy on July 10.
Every year, the moon sighting in the South Asian country any sort ofcontroversy and following the bizarre ritual, former Ruet-e-Hilal Committeechairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman earlier on Eidul Fitr slammed theauthorities for the announcement.
