Five Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers martyred in an attack by terrorists inSibi, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.
According to the military’s media wing, the terrorists targeted an FCpatrol party in Sangan, District Sibi. During an exchange of fire, heavylosses were inflicted on to the terrorists in men and materials.
The martyred soldiers were identified as havildar Zafar Ali Khan, aresident of Lakki Marvat, lance naik Hidayatullah, a resident of LakkiMarvat, lance naik Nasir Abbas, a resident of Bhakkar, lance naik BasheerAhmed, a resident of Naseerabad and sepoy Noor Ullah, a resident of LakkiMarvat.
A sanitization and search operation is in progress to “block the escaperoutes of the terrorists and apprehend the perpetrators,” the ISPRstatement said.

“Such cowardly acts by inimical elements, backed by hostile intelligenceagencies, cannot sabotage the hard earned peace and prosperity inBalochistan,” the ISPR statement read, adding that security forces weredetermined to neutralise their nefarious designs even at the cost of bloodand lives.
