PIA’s first Safari service takes off with passengers from 13 countries

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has kicked off its first safariflight from Islamabad for Skardu carrying travellers on a scenic journeywith stunning views of the world’s highest mountains and picturesquenorthern region.

Some 91 passengers link from 13countries link on this excitingsafari flight including Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar as apassenger in his personal capacity.

The national carrier’s Safari flight will brief the foreign passengerslink about the wonders of Pakistan’snorth and the best-kept secret of the tourism in the country including themightiest K-2, Nanga Parbat and Broad Peak and other highest mountains inKarakoram, Himalayas and Hindukush region.

A PIA link spokesperson said that the move isaimed at attracting more tourists to the country’s turquoise lakes.

The flight service has been renamed ‘Sadpara Air Safari’ to honourPakistan’s celebrated mountaineer who tragically lost his life during theK2 winter expedition this year.

Passengers link will enjoy the uniqueexperience of being on top of the world and be able to see panoramic viewsof the world’s second-highest mountain K2.

Reports said that after landing at Skardu Airport, the adventure willcontinue as the passengers link canenjoy complimentary hi-tea at the Shangrila Hotel. The return flight woulddepart after two hours of arrival.

It is relevant to note that Pakistan is home to five of the 14 highestpeaks (8,000m) in the world. There are more than a hundred peaks that areabove 7,000 meters.
