The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs andarrested two passengers at Islamabad International Airport.
The accused passengers Tanveer and Haroon Khan wanted to smuggle 912 gramsand 953 grams of ice drugs respectively from Islamabad to Bahrain. ANF totake legal action against both accused.
It has been reported that both accused smugglers had reached Islamabad fromSharjah via Air Blue flight and wanted to fly to Bahrain but wereapprehended by airport authorities.
Separately, Civil Lines Police in Pir Jahania, an area of Muzaffargarhdistrict, raided and apprehended inter-provincial drug smuggling includingtwo men and two women smugglers and recovered 75 kg drugs ‘charas’. Policehave registered an FIR against the accused smugglers.
