Israeli police have detained activist Muna al-Kurd, who has been at theforefront of the campaign to stop the forced expulsions of Palestiniansfrom occupied East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah.
According to Palestinian news agency WAFA, her detention comes a day afterAl Jazeera Arabic journalist Givara Budeiri was arrested while covering ademonstration in Sheikh Jarrah.
Budeiri, however was released hours later after her arrest drew globalcondemnation.
