ISLAMABAD- The California link stateparliament passed a resolution to make Californialink, the United States and Punjablink, Pakistan as ‘Sister Provinces’.
Punjab link Governor Chaudhry Sarwar is ona visit to the United States where members of the Californialink parliament welcomed him with hugeapplause and respect. Members stood up to welcome Governor Ch Sarwar.
The Majority Leader of the House presented the resolution for Punjablink and Californialink be declared ‘Sister Provinces’ andimportantly no member opposed it and it has been termed a big achievementfor Pakistan.
The Punjab link Governor also met withCongressman Rep Jim Costa from Californialink and discussed ways of furthercooperation between Punjab link andCalifornia link in the agriculturesector including technology transfer related to agriculture and exchangeprogrammes between agricultural universities to increase GDP of both theprovinces.
