“Professional matters pertaining to national security were discussed duringthe meeting,” a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said.
It is pertinent to note here that this first such meeting since ShehbazSharif took oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
COAS Qamar Bajwa couldn’t attend PM Shehbaz Sharif’s oath-taking ceremonydue to health issues, DG ISPR had informed media in a presserlink.
Earlier in the day, PM Shehbaz Sharif’s 37-member cabinet was sworn in.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani administered the oath to 31 federalministers and three state ministers at President House in capital Islamabad.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, speaker of National Assembly Raja PervaizAshraf and other officials also attended the ceremony.
