Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi approached the Qila GujjarSingh police to register a case over the fight in the provincial assemblysession for the election of Leader of the House.
The station house officer (SHO) of Qila Gujar Singh asked Chaudhry Parvezlink to present a medical exam reportlink the request for registering acase. He alleged that PML-N lawmakers subjected him to torturelink. Speaker Parvezlink Elahi sustained ‘serious injuries and‘broke his arm’
At the request of Parvez link Elahi, theQila Gujar Singh police link head sought amedical report link, saying that dueprocess will be followed after getting the medico-legal reportlink.
Reportedly, Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari withdrew his earlier orderregarding the convening of the provincial assembly session on Monday tohold voting on the no-confidence motion against the speaker.
