ISLAMABAD – The federal government yesterday carried out a reshuffle inthe federal bureaucracy and approved new high level appointments.
Ahad Cheema, a BPS-19 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, has beenappointed as joint secretary PM Office. He was OSD in the EstablishmentDivision. Sohail Rajput, an officer of BPS-22 of PAS, has been posted aschief secretary Sindh. He was earlier serving as federal secretary IT andTelecom Division in Islamabad.
Fawad Hasan Fawad, who served in the previous PML-N government of NawazSharif as principal secretary, has been appointed as special assistant toPM on Establishment Division.
He has been retired from service. Imdad Ullah Bosal, an officer of BPS-21,is being considered as chief secretary Punjab and his appointment would beannounced this week. Fakhar Sultan Raja, an officer of Pakistan PoliceService in BPS-20, is being considered as new police chief of Islamabad andhis appointment would also be announced this week.
