ISLAMABAD – Government source have revealed that Lt Gen (retd) Tariq Khanwas consulted prior to his nomination for the inquiry commission.
However he has excused to head a commission probing the alleged foreignconspiracy.
The federal cabinet had announced the appointment of Lt Gen (retd) TariqKhan as the head of the commission. He has informed the government abouthis decision.
The commission had been given 90 days to probe into the conspiracy.

During the meeting, the Foreign secretary opposed to make the threateningletter public. “Making the threatening letter public will be violation ofthe Secret Act,” he added.
