The security link agencieslink have not found crediblelink evidencelink to confirm PM Imran Khan’sallegation of a foreign conspiracy.
Imran Khan claimed last month that foreign elements were behind theno-confidence motion brought to the parliament by the joint opposition.“Some of our own people are being used for the purpose too,” the premiertold a public gathering at Parade Ground.
However, an official said on the condition of anonymity informed Reutersthat the security linklink did not come to the PM’s conclusionand it was conveyed to the premier. The official was among the participantsof the meeting.
The opposition lawmakers moved the no-confidence motion in a bid to oustthe PM. But National Assembly speaker swiftly blocked the motion, sayingthere was a “clear nexus” with a foreign state to bring about a change ofgovernment.
