Despite the long and hot days of *Ramadanlink*,many sports athletes prefer observing fast even when they are playing. Wehave seen a number of Muslim athletes breaking their fast in the middle ofa game.
Last year, a video of Turkish football players breaking their first in themiddle of the match went viral. This year, the Dutch coach of the Pakistanhockey teamlinkSiegfriedAikman will also be observing fast despite working in the daytime.
The Pakistan hockey team players were allowed to go home from the nationalcamp to be with their families on the first Ramadan. Siegfried Aikman tookto his Twitter account to share that he is observing his first-ever fast.
He said that as a coach of the Pakistan national hockey team, he feelsobliged to at least try to join the team in their fasting. He termed it aspecial experience and added that he will continue fasting for the rest ofthe week.
