The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday adjourned the hearing till May 16,on appeals of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) challenging theacquittal of former president Asif Ali Zardari in references pertaining toARY Gold and Ursus Tractors.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case without further proceeding dueto the non-appointment of NAB prosecutors in the case. A division benchcomprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khanheard the appeals.
The court was informed that the NAB headquarters had been written toappoint the prosecutors in these cases. At this, the court adjourned thehearing of the case till the next date.
It may be mentioned here that the accountability court had acquitted theformer president in the above-mentioned references in 2014.
