ISLAMABAD: A five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court on Mondayresumed hearing into a suo-moto notice over ruling from Deputy SpeakerQasim Suri against no-confidence motion with Chief Justice of Pakistan(CJP) Justice Umar Ata Bandial saying that they would issue an appropriateorder on the matter today.
Babar Awan appeared before the five-member bench and said that he wasrepresenting Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and would like to read out acourt order of 21 March 2022.The chief justice while leading the proceedingslink that they would issue anappropriate order on the matter today and will only look into theproceedings of the National Assembly. “We will not be listening to anyother matter today,” he said.
Meanwhile, Advocate Naeem Bokhari also appeared before the bench and saidthat he would represent the speaker and deputy speaker of the NationalAssembly.
