ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has agreed to share the foreign stateletter containing a ‘threat’ against his incumbent government with ChiefJustice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial, Federal Minister Asad Umar saidTuesday.
Addressing a presser along with Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, AsadUmar said the premier decided to share the letter with the country’s topjudge a day after PDM leaders trolled Khan. PML-N leader Maryam Nawazslammed PM as she shared a meme of Mr. Bean where the character is seensealing several envelopes.
Federal Minister said the ‘threat letter’ referred to a no-confidencemotion against Prime Minister Imran Khan however it was received way beforePDM leaders submitted the no-trust move. He added that the letter is noless than proof that foreign powers hatched a no-confidence motion.
NCOC Chief also mentioned that only a few members of civil-military leadershave seen the letter due to its sensitivity however he hinted that itmentions the country’s foreign policy without divulging its more contents.
Over the uproar, the prime minister deliberated over sharing the letterwith CJP Banidal, as he is a credible person, Umar said.
The development comes the first time during the PTI mass gathering at theparade ground when Khan waved the letter and also mentioned discussing itscontents in off-the-record discussions.
He did not name any specific country but only mentioned that he was beingtargeted by foreign powers and the letter was the written evidence of theconspiracy.
On Monday, PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif also offered his support to PrimeMinisters asking the latter to share the note in National Assembly andmedia.
PDM chief and Khan’s vocal opponent Fazlur Rehman also assured support toKhan saying if Khan prove that foreign powers plotted a conspiracy totopple his government.
