RAWALPINDI – A grand Jirga was held in Tirah to welcome the families whoare returning back to their homes after a decade. Approximately 100,000persons from 15,691 families will be rehabilitated during this process.
Addressing the Jirga, Commander Peshawar Corps Lieutenant General FaizHamid lauded the sacrifices rendered by tribesmen in achieving peace in thearea and assured that Pakistan Army will provide all possible assistance tothe rehabilitating families.
The Malaks and Mashrans thanked the Pakistan Army for restoration of peacein the area and ongoing efforts for socio-economic development in TribalDistrict. They also assured for their unflinching support to securityforces.
