As a result of this thrilling win, Pakistan advanced to the number threespot in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League 2023. Pakistan are equalon points with Bangladesh but stayed at the number three spot by a minordifference of Net Run Rate.
England are leading the table with a difference of five points withBangladesh and Pakistan.
England bagged 125 points after playing 18 ODIs while Bangladesh andPakistan are at number 2 and 3, respectively securing 120 points each.
After beating West Indies by five wickets in a thrilling victory, NewZealand also kept their chances bright. With 10 Cricket World Cup SuperLeague points from the win, New Zealand were able to keep theirfourth-place standing and raise their total to 110 points.
West Indies, who have already played all 24 of their Super League games andare currently ranked seventh in the Super League.
Only the top eight countries on the point standings will automaticallyqualify for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, which will be held in India nextyear.
