*ISLAMABAD: Former Information Minister and PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry onSaturday asked the concerned ministries to clarify if Pakistani airspacewas used for conducting a drone strike in Afghanistan that killed al Qaedaleader Ayman al-Zawahiri. *
In a message from his Twitter handle, Fawad Chaudhry said that there is noquestion that Pakistani soil was used for the Afghanistan attack, however,he said that the question is if Pakistani airspace was used for the purposeor not?
“Repeatedly saying that Pakistani soil was not used is an ambiguousstatement,” he said and demanded of the concerned ministries to respond tothe matter.
A reportlinkonWednesday quoted diplomatic sources saying that no evidence was found forthe use of Pakistani airspace by the US for carrying out the drone strikethat killed Al-Qaeda’s Ayman al-Zawahiri.
Diplomatic sources told ARY News that they could not reveal the strategy ofthe Pakistani government, however, the concerned authority was looking intodifferent aspects of Zawahiri’s killing.
