The US dollar continued its upward march on Tuesday too as it touched thehighest ever Rs216 mark with an appreciation of 80 paisa against thePakistani rupee during the early morning trade in the interbank market. Inopen market US dollar is being sold for Rs 218.
Earlier on Monday, the US dollar had gained a whopping Rs4.30 increaseagainst the Pakistani rupee to reach Rs215.25 in the interbank trading.
The greenback had closed at Rs215.20 on Monday after an increase of Rs4.25in the interbank trading.
It also merits a mention here that the US dollar has gained Rs33.23 so farin three months against the local currency since the coalition governmentcame into power.
