The federal government has withdrawn the subsidy the last government ofPakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had offered to the people on electricitybills link.
In this connection, the Power Division issued a notification on Thursdaywhich said that the relief of Rs5 per unit which was offered by theprevious government on power bills had been withdrawn.
It may be mentioned here that the government withdrew the subsidylink in electricity billslink only a day after phasingout the subsidy link it had been providingon prices of petroleum products.
