US makes key assistances to the new Pakistani government

The United States has assured full cooperation in managing thetroubled Pakistani economy.

A State Department spokesman said the United States would continue towork bilaterally on ways to increase investment and tradeopportunities to build a prosperous and stable Pakistan.

The spokesman said that the United States also welcomes the ongoingtalks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) of Pakistan.
