US State Department releases important statement on Pakistan

*WASHINGTON: The United States has expressed determination to work togetherwith Pakistan in areas of mutual interests including counter-terrorism andborder security.*

At his press briefing in Washington D.C, the US State DepartmentSpokesperson Ned Price said his country values the bilateral relationshipwith Pakistan.

The spokesperson reiterated condemnation of the terrorist attack at theKarachi University. He said a terrorist attack anywhere is an affront tohumanity everywhere.

Commenting on India, Price said that the US Commission on Religious Freedomin India has demanded sanctions on the Narendra Modi government.

US State Department spokesman Ned Price was asked a journalist inWashington whether India was being blacklisted for violating religiousfreedom.

Responding to this, Ned Price said that the Commission on Religious Freedomis not a government body, the US State Department reviews therecommendations of the commission.
