UN Security Council strongly reacts over Karachi suicide blast

UN Security Council has strongly condemned Tuesday’s “heinous and cowardly”terrorist attack in the Karachi University and called for bringing thoseresponsible for it to justice.

The condemnation was expressed by 15-member Council’s president for thismonth, Barbara Woodward of Britain.

The members of Security Council also expressed their deepest sympathy andcondolences to families of victims and to governments of Pakistan and Chinaand wished a speedy and full recovery for injured.

They reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestationsconstitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace andsecurity.

They urged all states to cooperate actively with the governments ofPakistan and China, as well as all other relevant authorities in thisregard.
